If you need to go to an unknown place, the first thing you need is a guide who can show you the path. In this way, the Buddha is our guide. We need to rely on the guide until we reach our destination, and in this case, our destination is to accomplish ultimate enlightenment. Therefore, until enlightenment is reach, we take refuge in the Buddha.

Venerable Khenpo Thupten

Sakya Belper is a group based on the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, we are guided by the Venerable Khenpo Lekshey, the Venerable Khenpo Thupten and their student of 27 years Thupten Rabgay. The Sakya lineage is a relatively unknown but authentic and unbroken lineage which can trace itself back to Lord Buddha Sakyamuni.
